baoreth - (magical creature)
Baoreth are small neutral creatures visible only by the awakened. They resemble “electric” foxes that give off a red/orange vis light as they run around. They are drawn to mord. They slowly consume it–converting it back into essence with the process giving them life. The baoreth on rare occasion can be seen as brief glimmering shadows to the naked eye.

fleen - (animal - wild or domesticated)
Fleen are most closely related to sheep. Males drop and regrow horns every few years which are larger each time they are replaced.
fluxie - (magical creature)
Fluxies are small, hummingbird-like creatures whose iridescent feathers are not made of keratin, but of solidified magical Vis. Their most obvious magical quality is that their feathers constantly and gently shift in color, displaying hues that aren't found in the natural world. Their chirp is a soft low-breath whistling sound, pleasant to the ear. Their wings, partially made of Vis, never cast a shadow. Fluxies are harbingers of “the curious.” They are living creatures that feed on moments of pure chance and are drawn to places where a significant, unpredictable event is about to occur. Their rare appearance is an unmistakable sign that destiny is about to take an unexpected turn.
glimmerwing - (sentient creature)
A glimmerwing is a single sentient living construct of woven light and sound, born from bloom. It ('they') appear as a swarm of hundreds of tiny, glowing motes of light that move and think as a single entity and are considered the purest physical manifestation of a magically healthy and harmonious environment. It ('they') spontaneously coalesce into existence when an area is so rich with bloom that the energy develops sentience. While sharing a single consciousness, a glimmering communicates not through words, but through complex, melodic chimes that can soothe a troubled heart or instill a sense of profound peace in those who hear it. Glimmerwings are drawn to acts of great compassion and self-sacrifice, and their presence is considered a powerful blessing. According to legend, they are the purest physical manifestation of blooming Vis.
malidred - (magical creature)
Malidreds are not typically found in the wilds of Æor. They look like a smaller, hairy horse, with a mono-colored body coat. A mane, usually of a different color, runs from the tops of their head to the tips of their tail. This mane hair can also be found on each of their four legs.
While malidreds can walk or run similar to a small horse, they prefer to rise above the ground where they can run through the air, following the contour of the terrain. The weight of their load determines how far above the ground a malidred can rise, from half a meter to two meters. When moving through still air, they can move up to a speed eight times that of a horse.
mordreaver - reaver - (magical creature)
The mordreavers are the herders of the baoreth. They look like giant rotting bears and wander on all four legs, but can rise up on two legs at an imposing size. The reavers can drain essence from the living to create new mord. The awakened can see the dim glow of katravis that flows around them. Mordreavers are otherwise visible to everyone. Reavers have the ability to induce an immobilizing fear from a distance of a few meters. At this point, the mordreaver will attempt to steal essence to create mord and may choose to attack in some cases. They are not initially aggressive and will wander away from people if they don’t bother the reaver. The best advice is to AVOID mordreavers and just leave them alone.

resha - (magical creature)
The resha are a magical creature similar to (or perhaps opposite of) elementals. They appear and feel solid, but do not have a permanent shape–floating through the air like a liquid. Resha absorb a specific element. For example, the celebrity fire resha, Moshimi, in Qjell appears very light gray in color. Moshimi is the toughest of a small group of resha used by the city to put out fires.
saphant - (undead humanoid)
Saphants are an undead, like a ghoul, that devour their kill. They have remedial magical skill.
