**Vision - I can see clearly now**

===Standard vision===
The standard vision range is shared by most races and creatures. Sighting ability ranges from the keen sight of the alatari to the poor standard vision of the drow. What a human could see using proper lighting is the standard vision range.

===Night vision===
Night vision is the process of amplifying the ambient light from the moons and stars and other dim sources to see objects clearly at night as well as, or better than, those with standard vision can see with daylight. Night vision does not generally work underground where natural light isn't available. Any artificial light brighter than a single candle can distort or destroy the ability to use night vision.

===Deep vision===
Deep vision is the ability to see well underground or in the absence of any significant light source. Like a weaker form of infrared spectrum vision, deep vision augments the limited available standard range with heat given off of objects, generating a crude mental image. In addition to light from moons and stars, any source stronger than a single candle can distort or destroy the ability to use deep vision.

===Spectrum vision===
Spectrum vision is sight into the true infrared heat spectrum. Spectrum vision is rare and belongs mostly to insects and diminutive animals. Spectrum vision is not limited to the underground, outside, or areas lit by bright sunlight as deep vision and night vision are. It works all the time and is distorted, but not destroyed, by sources of extreme heat or cold. Non-heated light sources such as light spells and daylight have no effect on spectrum vision. There are few known cases of a creature larger than an insect possessing spectrum vision with any other type of vision.
